Item Description
7x10" card stock opens to 28" wide printed on both sides. Program is for New York Yankees-owned AA Club for International League Play-Off Series held at Newark Ruppert Stadium. Front cover has inset photo at top of President HOF'er Jacob Ruppert along with Business Manager Kennedy and Vice President HOF'er George Weiss. Just beneath is 24 member team photo with 23 in uniform on field with bleachers in bkg. Contents include scoring portion for each team and numerous ads for businesses in and around Newark, NJ. Back cover ad has 1.25" tear but program otherwise unused and VF. Newark won the game against Rochester but would go on to lose the Junior World Series to Kansas City. Keller was the star player of the team with a .365 batting average including 149 runs and 211 hits. Rozar had a .387 batting average and both went on to play professionally with the Yankees in 1939. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
