Item Description
3.5x4.5" showing both in Jersey City uniforms standing in dugout. Both have signed clearly in fountain pen ink. Barely noticeable faint crease at lower left corner tip, bottom edge at right side has a few tiny ink marks. Overall VF with Exc. signatures. Referred to as "The Little Giants" the Jersey City Giants were a AAA team of the International League affiliated with the New York Giants from 1937 to 1950. Kirk Soloman played in the Minor Leagues from 1940 to 1948 including Jersey City in 1946 and 1948. Les Layton played in the Minor Leagues between 1944 and 1954 and was with Jersey City from 1944 to 1947. He played with the New York Giants in 1948 and had a home run in his first at bat. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
