Item Description
10x12" cardboard mount with "Phillips Bloomberg, Pa." photographer mark at bottom. 6x8" photo showing nine member team in Sunbury uniforms with a few holding gloves and one displaying baseball has young African American bat boy front and center and apparent manager in back row wearing bow tie and straw hat. Sunbury played in the Central Pennsylvania League between 1887 and 1898 and this team likely includes a few players from that era. Mount has handling wear with pin holes in two right hand corners and small pieces gone from left hand corners. VG. Photo has some lt. dust soil and handling wear. VF. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
