Item Description
6.5x8.5" souvenir folder from "Abe Attell Bar Restaurant" in NYC has candid glossy inside showing Attell wearing suit next to woman. Inside cover has bold fountain pen ink inscription "To A Real Little Funny Face Ruth From The Little Champ Abe Attell". Cover has trace of lt. dust soil and aging. Fine. Photo and autograph are Exc. Abe Attell (1884-1970) was known as "The Little Hebrew" and was featherweight champion for six years between 1906 and 1912. Legend has it that he was involved in the 1919 "Black Sox" world series scandal, though he was never charged with any crime. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
