Item Description
4.75x6.75" c. 1920s. Photo is boldly signed in fountain pen ink "To My Friend Pedrito Cantera From Benny Leonard". Matte finish photo has photographer mark at lower right. Upper left has a few tiny bits of missing surface paper and lower right corner has pin hole. Mounting traces on reverse from scrapbook removal. Overall Fine. Leonard retired from boxing in 1924 as the reigning world's lightweight champion with a record of 183 wins (70 by knockout) and 19 losses. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
