Item Description
6.5X8.5" glossy showing both in uniform holding balls in outstretched hands, giving the photo an almost 3-D effect. Reverse side has International News Photos Inc. stamp and additional ink stamp from "Evening Bulletin Reference Library" plus attached paper caption noting "These Pitching Brothers, The Deans, Won The 1934 World Series With Some Help From Their Team-Mates". Caption also notes "The Brothers Paul And Jerome Accounted For Two Victories In The Fall Classic." Caption is dated 10-9-34. A few lt. handling creases, mostly just visible in reflected light. Fine. A classic image of two great hurlers. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
