Item Description
7x9" glossy with ink stamp on back "Philadelphia Record Mar 6 1939". Reverse side has matching newspaper clipping attached with caption "Great Mystery Of The Disappearing 'Over The Fence' Fly Balls Solved At Bees Bradenton (Fla.) Camp By Coach George Kelly". Kelly is in Boston Braves uniform and giving the skakedown to a young African American boy as numerous baseballs fall from under his shirt. Photo has numerous handling creases with .25" bit of missing surface paper at lower right. Shows wear and just VG but a fun and wacky image. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
