Item Description
8x9-7/8" high quality matte finish photo shows Kelly in dugout with manager Casey Stengel and Mike Kelly with all three in Boston uniforms. Photo is signed at lower right in ballpoint pen and also in his hand on back is notation "Mike Kelly/Casey Stengel/George L. Kelly Boston 1941." Back also has ink stamp of photographer Geo. Burke and ink stamp at top "From The Estate Of George L. "Highpockets" Kelly". Exc. Kelly played professionally between 1915 and 1932 and Casey Stengel hired him to coach the Boston Braves from 1938 to 1943. He was inducted into the HOF in 1973. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
