Item Description
6.5x8.5" glossy has superb image of Marsans in uniform swinging bat in stadium. c. 1920s. Reverse side has photographer ink stamp crediting Paul Thompson. Photo has a few minor handling creases just visible in reflected light. Fine. Armando Marsans played winter baseball in the Cuban League from 1905 to 1928 and was a major league outfielder from 1911 to 1918. He played with the Cincinnati Reds 1911 to 1914, the St. Louis Terriers from 1914 to 1915, and with the St. Louis Browns and New York Yankees between 1916 and 1918. One of ten players inducted into the Cuban Baseball HOF in its 1939 inaugural class. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
