Item Description
3.25x5.5" government postcard has bold "Billy Martin" fountain pen signature on blank back. Card is postmarked Brooklyn, N.Y. Aug 28 with ink stamp address of Herman C. Merkin Brooklyn address. Trace of lt. dust soil, lt. bumps at corner tips. Card is Fine with great vintage signature from early in his days with the Yankees. Martin was second baseman for the Yankees between 1950 and 1957 and managed them at various stages in the 1970s and 1980s. The year this card was signed he made a game-saving catch in game seven of the World Series. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
