Item Description
2-1/8" brass diecut star frame has inner brass circular frame surrounding sepia cardboard real photo depicting four generations of rulers from left to right Queen Victoria, Edward VII, George V, Edward VIII, as a five-year-old w/hair in ringlets. Photo image is totally bright and clean although w/magnification has traces of surface wear. Top has high relief embossed brass crown with reverse pin. Reverse of suspension has convex brass luster tabbed dome where the photo was inserted and text on this reads "To Commemorate The Diamond Jubilee Of The Reign Of Queen Victoria 1837-1897." The best and only real photo badge we know of issued for this historic event, certainly the earliest badge to depict Edward VIII, famous for his later abdication. Rare and overall Exc.
