Item Description
From same set as #1113. Bottom margin text reads "Philadelphia 1910 Lord C.F." Tiny 1/16" dia. insect hole on hat but image is strong and distinct. Bristol Lord, nicknamed "The Human Eyeball", played as an outfielder in the Major Leagues from 1905-1913 for the Cleveland Naps, Philadelphia Athletics and Boston Braves. Lord is best known as being the player obtained by Connie Mack in a trade that sent Shoeless Joe Jackson from Philly to the Cleveland Naps. Designated by SGC as being from the "Richard Merkin Collection" and comes with Hake's COA.
