Item Description
From same set as #1139. Card front reads "Base Ball Fernández C-29." Faint 1/8" spot above head but a strong, sharp image. Jose was a four-decade player in the Negro Leagues who also set a longevity mark in his native Cuba. His 24 seasons as a player in the Cuban Winter League is the all-time record. He was inducted into the Cuban Baseball HOF in 1965. Designated by SGC as being from the "Richard Merkin Collection" and comes with Hake's COA.
