Item Description
c. early 1950s design for a proposed premium. 8.5x11” sheet of construction paper w/“A Creation Of Sam Gold Premium King” foil sticker has 6.5x8” sheet of vellum art paper attached in center w/art and text in lead and colored pencil. Top has hand painted “Free Inside!” text. Design promotes dual purpose ring w/removable “Plastic Cover For Use With Any Photo”. “Actual Size” Rin Tin Tin ring is at right, lower right has images of “6 In The Series…Get Them All!”. Though not identified, images include: Rin Tin Tin, Rusty, Lt. Rip Masters, Major Swanson, Sgt. O’Hara, Cochise. Construction paper sheet has strip of masking tape w/editorial note, art itself has lt. aging and dust soil. Still bright and Fine. Elaborate design and great detail. Unique. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold accompanied by a letter to that effect from Gordon Gold.
