Item Description
4.5x7" w/great action shot of him in Almendares Scorpions uniform swinging bat. Has Habana photographer "Jose Louis Lopez" stamped imprint at lower right. Reverse has descriptive text strip and various production notations including ink stamp date of first published use "Nov 1937." Front left margin has crop mark but this is in black and blends. Trace of edge wear but remains clean and glossy. Ray Dandridge is considered by many to be the best third baseman in Negro League history and is a member of the National Baseball HOF. He played in the Negro Leagues between 1933 and 1944. He also played twelve winters in the Cuban league and photo text mentions his Spanish nickname "Talua". From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
