Seated front and center is Francis “Frankie” Frisch, nicknamed the "Fordham Flash" because of his speed. In 1919, Frisch left Fordham to sign w/the New York Giants of the National League, moving directly to the majors without playing in the minor leagues. He became a three time all-star, four time World Series champion and NL MVP in 1931. He was inducted into the HOF in 1947.
