Large and impressive 30.5x33x5" elaborate frame contains 12 envelopes, each measuring 3-5/8x6.5" (one w/end torn off measures 3-5/8x6"). Each envelope (w/the exception of one) has vintage cut-out of baseball player/manager/official pasted at left of envelope and each has been signed in black ink, the signatures being somewhat tanned w/age. Signatures include - Connie Mack, Casey Stengel, Babe Herman, Paul Waner, George Sisler, John M. Corriden Sr., Wes Ferrell, George Uhle, A. Sotheron, Jim Bottomley, Rogers Hornsby and the first Commissioner of Baseball Kenesaw Mountain Landis. Most have additional notations around the pasted pictures, many w/1930/1931 date and team name. All envelopes have been postally issued and have either 1930 or 1931 postmarks. John M. Corriden Sr. envelope is partial as envelope is missing right .5-.75" margin edge, though this does not affect his signature. Envelopes have tanned w/age and are Fine overall. All signatures remain bold, legible and are VF-Exc. overall. At center of display is newspaper clipping showing photo of Hilbert J. Weller (all envelopes are addressed to him) who was the president of the American Softball League who then went on to become involved w/the Outagamie County Baseball League. This baseball connection allowed for his acquiring the included signatures in this display. All have been professionally double-mounted and make for a wonderful display.
