Item Description
36" long Official Louisville Slugger - Frank Robinson model No. K100 wood bat has black felt tip pen signature on the barrel next to incised signature on bat. Bat has lt. wear and "31" in marked on handle end. Exc. w/bold signature. Next is Rawlings Official NL A. Bartlett Giamatti model ball that has been signed on the sweet spot in blue ink. Ball/signature has moderate aging, but still remains bold and distinct. Fine. A nice pair signed by MLB Hall of Fame member and former MLB outfielder and manager. He played 1956-1976, most notably for the Cincinnati Reds and the Baltimore Orioles. He is the only player to win league MVP honors in both the National and American Leagues. He won the Triple Crown, was a member of two teams that won the World Series (the 1966 and 1970 Baltimore Orioles), and amassed the fourth-most career home runs at the time of his retirement (he is currently ninth). Robinson was elected to the Baseball HOF in 1982. Robinson was also the first African-American hired to serve as manager in MLB history, serving as manager of the Cleveland Indians during the last two years of his playing career. He went on to manage the San Francisco Giants, the Baltimore Orioles, and the Montreal Expos/Washington Nationals. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
