Item Description
Large 12x48" plywood board has mixed media artwork w/painted scene depicted Jesse Orosco's jubilant reaction after striking out Marty Barrett for the final out of the 1986 World Series. Orosco tossing his glove into the air is one of the most enduring World Series photographs ever taken. The scene has been recreated by Sax, an artist whose work has been shown at Cooperstown, many galleries and is featured in the collections of several celebrity sports fans. Image of Orosco is composite collage w/painted details, such as his Mets uniform and his tossed glove is 1.5x1.75" three-dimensional detailed sculpture, the glove's "Rawling" logo clearly visible. Reverse of board has "Lost In Space" painted title w/planets and stars design. Exc. Wonderful display.
