Item Description
3x5.25" very thin paper with irregular edges printed in tan portraying Native American with text above and below "Massachusett Delegation./Baltimore Convention./1844." The convention met May 1, 1844. With President Tyler expelled from the Whig Party, the delegates nominated Henry Clay for President and Theodore Frelinghuysen for Vice President. Paper has .5" deep darker area along the bottom edge. Fine and a rare, early artifact from a national nomination convention. See following rare ribbon promoting their candidacy.
