Randall Ltd./Merit w/permission of Eagle Comics, the publisher of the British Dan Dare sci-fi stories. 1950s. Box shows nice image of these toys and Dan Dare using set to communicate w/"Earth Defense Force" personnel on space station. Box has moderate aging and lt. edge/corner tip wear. Lid has one corner split while two other corners have tape repairs. VG/Fine. Gun has raised "Dan Dare Inter-Planetary Walkie-Talkie" name and three "Planetary Selectors" button settings marked "Saturn, Venus, Mars." The walkie talkies are in place on original illustrated cardboard insert which has built-in spinner decoder. VF. Aside from slight oxidation to metal component within sets, set is Exc.
