Item Description
8.5x10-7/8” w/slick stiff paper covers and 34 pages. Front cover has nice specialty art by Jack Kirby w/The Thing standing atop Americana Hotel watching bi-plane w/convention banner. Inside back cover has wonderful full figure original ink drawing of Thor twirling his hammer Mjolnir signed “To Richard: Best Wishes And Thanks Michael J. Zeck”. . Page 28 is special “Thank You Mick Zeck” page noting he inked the program’s Kirby cover and promoting his work at Charlton. Program includes pages devoted to Kirby, Stan Lee, James Doohan, and printed specialty art by Harvey Kurtzman, Neal Adams, and Vaughn Bode as well as article on collecting original art. Exc. Zeck didn’t begin working at Marvel until 1977, making this an early example of his future art. Limited distribution w/extremely low print run.
