Item Description
1940s-50s. Larger one is 31x41" w/embroidered "A" along w/baseball and scorpion w/crown. Scattered aging with slight color fade along fold lines and a few small holes. Smaller one is 16x17" w/similar graphics that are silk-screened along with text "El Que Nos Gane Se Muere." Moderate wear/aging. Both still display Fine. The Scorpions were one of the oldest and most distinguished teams in the old Cuban League which existed from 1878 to 1961. In their early history they were known by their colors as The Blues. Later they adopted the name of Scorpions. In the 71 championships in which they participated they won 25 times. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
