8x10" thin board w/fully painted art which is signed at lower right "Jorge S." Superb image of Gibson in Santa Clara Leopards uniform in the batter's box w/catcher behind him. Bkg. includes spectators in stands and buildings. Top right has title "Joshua Gibson Catcher" w/Leopards pennant below this. Exc. Known as the "Black Babe Ruth", Gibson is one of the games greatest players and truly legendary figures. He was inducted into the National Baseball HOF in 1972. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
