Item Description
5x7-1/8" softcover book written by Joe DiMaggio and published by Whittlesey House in Japanese format for the Japanese market. c. 1948. Front cover has baseball plate, bats and ball images while back cover has image of DiMaggio by Lenny Hollreiser and title in English. Last page has been signed in blue ink by DiMaggio "To Charlie - Roden - With Best Wishes Who Has Always Been With Me - Joe DiMaggio." Book shows moderate wear/aging w/back cover having 2.5" tear at bottom of spine and front cover has .25" hole. Covers are VG, interior pages (which feature numerous photos) remain clean though evenly aged. Fine/VF overall. Page DiMaggio signed has some scattered age spotting but inscription/signature remains bold and distinct and displays VF. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
