Item Description
4-1/8x5" album page has been signed by Hornsby in blue ink, w/Hornsby adding "1956" date. Hornsby played 23 seasons in MLB, playing for the St. Louis Cardinals (1915–1926, 1933), New York Giants (1927), Boston Braves (1928), Chicago Cubs (1929–1932), and St. Louis Browns (1933–1937). Hornsby had 2,930 hits, 301 home runs, and a .358 batting average during his career; he was named the NL's MVP twice, and was a member of one World Series championship team. He was inducted into the Baseball HOF in 1942. Hornsby died of a heart attack in 1963. Album page has uneven left margin from removal from autograph album and has small typed "Rogers Hornsby" name paste-over at top right. Signature displays Exc. Comes w/nice color photo print of Hornsby in Cardinals uniform that would lookk great framed w/signature. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
