Item Description
1" brass, holed as made, with each man's name and date of 1860 on the brass rim. Lincoln image is extremely crisp and clear although in reflected light it's glossy surface is covered in small craze lines. The only loss is microscopic and being a pinpoint dot off the right background and a 1/64" line off the left background. Portrait displays essentially Mint. On the opposite side reflected light shows a vertical hairline at the center with a couple of even smaller lines at the left but again these are only visible in certain reflected light angles and with normal viewing the emulsion displays Mint. Brass frame has small traces of original luster. Overall an Extremely Fine example.
