Item Description
7.75" long oilcloth pendant features bold signature of the 27th President (1909-1913) above a 1.5x2.5" blue-tone photo image of Theodore Roosevelt. This pennant is most likely from Roosevelt's 1912 campaign in which he ran against Taft and Woodrow Wilson. Pennant has text "Americanism" at top of pennant and "Roosevelt" running vertically underneath photo image. Two crossed American flags appear above image, but red ink-stamp stripes have been misprinted and appear interspersed with “Americanism” text. Taft's signature appears between photo image and blue fields of American Flags. Nicely signed in black ink. Pennant has some light wear and age in upper right-hand corner and a 1/8" crease at tip. Some minor foxing to tips. Pennant is VF with an Exc. signature. Comes with a letter of authenticity from Hake’s.
