Item Description
2.25x4 7/8" blank paper has signature "E. S. Plank" in red ink. Known as "Gettysburg Eddie," he was one of the greatest left handed pitchers of the Major Leagues. Plank never pitched for a minor league team and was drafted into the Major Leagues straight from Gettysburg College. Played with the Philadelphia Athletics from 1901-1914, St. Louis Terriers in 1915 and the St. Louis Browns from 1916-1917. Eddie Plank was inducted to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1946.Paper was clipped and has some very faint aging but signature is bold and distinct and Exc. Paper is VF/Exc.
