Item Description
Art boards range in size from 11x13” to 11.25x14.5” w/original pen and ink art by creator George Baker, who has signed all four covers in ink. Art is for Harvey Publications issues Dec. 1959, Feb. 1960, Feb and Oct. 1963. Scenes include snorkeling and being pulled by shark through Sarge’s boat, Sarge cutting Sad Sack’s rope while mountain climbing, sticking Sarge in foot while policing area, smoking at beach and throwing match setting Sarge’s newspaper on fire. Dog Muttsy is in two covers. A few margin pencil notes. Image areas will mat and frame to near Exc. appearance. Well drawn and funny.
