Item Description
17x20" cardboard has attached 13x16" sheet of paper w/original pencil and pastel art as well as "The Saturday Evening Post" title paste-over at top center. ©1948 The Coca-Cola Company. Art features large image of glass bottle of Coca-Cola sitting next to tennis ball and racket and has two smaller scenes showing young baseball players drinking Coca-Colas from cooler and adult golfers enjoying "Coke." Art includes "Coca-Cola - Coke" logo at lower left and notes 5¢ price. Ad has obvious sports theme w/hand-lettered text reading "Play Refreshed...Have A Coke" at top w/additional text reading "Ask For It Either Way...Both Trade Marks Mean The Same Thing" under "Coca-Cola - Coke" logo. Sheet shows moderate handling wear w/creases at corners and some wear along top margin. Sheet has been attached w/now aged tape strips at left, right and bottom margins. VG/Fine, but art still displays bright and bold. Unique.
