Item Description
2-3/8x4" tall and 7/8" deep with lid on a seven-section tubular hinge along the right edge. A few small color dots off his shirt and extreme right edge of his jaw. Small bit of background color off just above his head but only minimal variation in the color tone. Three of the four rounded corners are missing a small flake or have a rub but no more than 1/8" in each direction. Lid interior has old 1.25" piece of cellophane tape covering a slip of paper with "110" designation from some long ago owner. Also a tiny red old inked number "150" at the lower right. Blank underside has extensive all over craze lines with the lines more pronounced and somewhat deeper than typical but only a few specks of actual material missing. Very likely made during his campaign as he is referred as "Of Ohio" rather than President which would have been his post-victory title. We have found no other example in our research. Rare and VG. Julie Powell Collection.
