Item Description
15/16" listed as DeWitt 1840-44. Early APIC member McSorley considered this piece "Quite Rare" having seen only three in 60 years. Front depicts Harrison in uniform facing left with surrounding text "Maj. Gen. W.H. Harrison./Born Feb 9 1773." Reverse, beneath the word "Tippecanoe" shows battle scene with soldiers left and right and with Harrison on horseback with drawn saber at center. The raised details are worn on each side but still the vast amount of the images remains easily visible. Tiny rim hole as issued. Seldom offered.
