Item Description
11-1/8x16" thin artboard featuring original pen and ink art by noted comic book artist Curt Swan, best known as the artist most associated w/Superman during the period fans and historians call the Silver Age of comic books, Swan produced hundreds of covers and stories from the 1950s through the 1980s. Offered here is the original art for page 19 of "Superman" #382, published by DC Comics in April 1983. Issue was written by Cary Bates w/interior art by Swan and inks by Dave Hunt. Four-panel page shows Superman and Superboy on collision course w/each other in time storm, turning into phantom versions and colliding, sending Superman to the present and Superboy to the past. Text paste-overs in second and third panels. Inked editorial notations at margins. Three corners have 1" clip, but this affects art/text in no way. Scattered handling wear/aging w/some white correctional fluid touch-ups, but if matted and framed, art would display VF. From the collection of comic book inker Dave Hunt.
