23x29” thin art board has 21.75x27.5” India ink area for August 1 ©1926 H.J. Tuthill. Logo area has separate gag w/George having just painted a bulls eye on his landlord’s back. Area just beneath logo has paste-up printed text including strip title “A Reprivo”. Storyline has 12 panels. George is attempting to head off neighbors complaints to the landlord. He meets him in the hall and hits him in the head w/a sponge, claiming a neighbor threw it. He then invites landlord in, gives him a cigar from a “neighbor” which explodes loudly in landlord’s face. George escorts the landlord out before the neighbors can talk to him, then happily lights a cigar. Signed “Tuthill” in ink in last panel. Trace of lt. aging, date is hand lettered in pencil in center of logo, easily erasable. Image area will frame to Near Exc. appearance. A prime funny example, beautifully hand water colored.
