8.5" dia., 3.25" tall tin litho toy drum was produced in the 1940s in Mexico (as noted on stamps on tin litho drumheads) and features images of two actual model airplanes of the era while rest are reminiscent of spaceships seen in Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon comic strips. Drum shows moderate wear from use and has 2" dent on band. VG. Comes w/8.5" long by 2" tall tin litho watering can which features images of spacemen on rocket, dog in satellite (referencing Soviet space dog Laika) as well as rocketships, stars and planets. c. late 1950s. Scattered wear w/some loss of brass luster along bottom rim. Fine/VF.
