Item Description
Original cardboard box contains 8.5" tall plastic robot w/5.25" long remote control designed to look like a can of Coca-Cola. Produced by Tomy and released in limited quantities for the Japanese market in the 1980s. Box is complete w/original styrofoam inserts and original illustrated instruction booklet (in Japanese). Insert has some staining in one compartment where originally included batteries leaked but does not affect other contents. Box has "Coca-Cola Happy Can Can" name on outside but features no illustrations of robot within. Scattered aging and lt. wear w/some color rubs. VF. Also known as a Yuuzo Chatbot, robot featured speaking, forward and turning moving actions as noted on remote control. Top of robot's head has button marked "Record" so you could record your own message and have the robot play it back. Robot has "Enjoy Coca-Cola" logo sticker and larger "Coke Is It!" sticker on front of base. Mint as packaged. Remote control has antenna snapped off, but this is included. Untested as such. Remote base has some moisture staining to paper label on underside, but battery box remains clean.
