The emulsion surface is near flawless with a virtual pinpoint dot off his forehead invisible without magnification. While the piece is unlisted in Hake and DeWitt the frame matches Hake #3021 but that has a different ferrotype image with his name and with him facing right whereas his name is not included on this and he is facing left.
