Item Description
Hake #3129. The piece is 5.25" tall and the shell suspension is 2.5" diameter. Top bar reads "Mar. 4th 1897." Reverse has probably re-soldered but original pin. The brass shell jugate is pushed in over the area of McKinley's cheek but otherwise only a few tarnish marks and vast majority of luster remains. The cardboard reverse names the issuer as "The Commercial Tribune" with title "Victory Souvenir" and a listing of the electoral votes of the states going for McKinley giving him a "272..TOTAL..272." Rare and VF.
