Item Description
Art boards average 11.25x14.5” w/original pen and ink art by creator George Baker who has signed all four in ink. Art is c. early 1960s for Harvey Publications issues #14,15, 16, and 17. Scenes include General getting hit in rear by Sad Sack’s mop, everyone saluting Sad Sack whose head has torn through painting of General, ship being christened w/ Sarge underneath catching champagne, accidents happening as “Prevent Accidents” sign is being hung. All covers feature all four main cast members and dog Muttsy. A few margin pencil notes, including wrong pencil numbers on first two covers. Image areas will mat and frame to near Exc. appearance. Well drawn and funny.
