Item Description
Thin art board has 5.5x19.25” India ink image area w/Donald in three of four panels dated Nov. 12. Donald is napping as Huey, Dewey. and Louie discuss unlucky kids. One decides Jimmy Brown is unluckiest, saying “His Own Pop is the Truant Officer!” Panel four has “Walt Disney” ink signature as done by staff artist. Complete w/Walt Disney Productions copyright sticker in panel three, King Features distribution sticker in panel four. Applied zipatone dot pattern used for shading on Donald’s jacket has yellowed a bit with age, art otherwise Exc. Superb, clean, and well-drawn early example by the noted artist who did the Donald Duck comic strip from 1938 to 1969.
