Item Description
Set of five 16x22" progressive proofs for high quality silk-screen concert poster (see previous item #2823) for Feb. 22, 1992 "Kick Out The Jams" tribute concert for Rob Tyner, best known as lead singer for the proto-punk rock band MC5. The concert took place at the State Theatre in Detroit, MI. and was named for Tyner's infamous rallying cry of "Kick Out The Jams, Motherfuckers" at the MC5's live concerts. Poster features image of Tyner leaping into the air w/microphone in hand in front of an American flag. The final poster was a signed and numbered limited edition of 400. Poster artwork by Gary Grimshaw These progressive proofs show the progression as each color of the poster was silk-screened, gradually building up to finished poster design. Scattered corner tip wear but Exc. overall. From the Mark Arminski Archives and comes with a COA specially designed, signed and remarqued by him.
