Item Description
18x36.5" paper print of detailed illustration of "Wedding Guests Arriving At Trollhaugen From: 'The Hall Of The Mountain King'" by artist whose name appears to be Einar Larssen. Print is dated 1959 at lower left of image w/artist's initials and bottom margin has hand-lettered pencil text as well as "2/50" number and artist signature at right. "The Hall Of The Mountain King" references the Norwegian play "Peer Gynt" which features music by composer Edvard Grieg, most notably, "In The Hall Of The Mountain King." This art illustrated the arrival of troll wedding guests for the wedding of Peer Gynt to the Mountain King's daughter. 20 distinct troll characters (of immense size) head through forest towards top of mountain. Print has margin aging but is o/w clean and VF overall.
