Item Description
14-7/8x20" artboard w/attached acetate overlay has original mixed media art depicting the main box lid art for 1963 Lindberg model kit featuring the British cruiser HMS Norfolk, a County-class heavy cruiser of the Royal Navy launched on Dec. 12, 1928 (commissioned April 30, 1930). She served throughout World War II and was sold for scrap in 1950. Art is signed by A.J. Rudisill, an internationally-acclaimed artist whose original acrylic paintings of landscapes and seascapes have been exhibited at major galleries throughout the country. Earlier in his career Rudisill provided stunning model kit box art, such as this being offered here. Large image area measures 11-3/8x19". Lower center margin has printing label and blue pencil "H.M.S. Norfolk" notation. Upper margins have some staining from tape that could be easily matted out. Art is NM and would look stunning framed. Impressive model kit art.
