Item Description
Lot of two, both are original 5x7" glossy photographs. c. 1920s. Two great images, one of him pitching and the other in batting stance. Both reverses have various ink stamps and writing including publication notations and are marked "The International News Service." Both also have Christie's hologram sticker from their 1996 Baseball Magazine Archives auction. Lt. handling wear and pinholes at corners but both are sharp and distention images. Fine. Emilio Palmero, born in Cuba, pitched five seasons in the majors and 17 in the minors, along with his many years playing in Cuba. He was a two-time Cuban Winter League batting champion. In 1957, he was inducted into the Cuban Baseball HOF. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake’s COA.
