Case opens to reveal engraved inscription of "To Joe Your's Babe Ruth" and Ruth's name is again a facsimile of his signature. One inside edge also has hallmark and "925" indicating sterling silver. Case dates to his years as a player on the Red Sox, 1914-1919. While Babe's prowess on the ball field is legendary, his generosity off the field was also something special as evidenced by this high end gift that "Joe" was no doubt thrilled to receive.
