28.5x41" frame contains original tempera/acrylic painting used as the art for the concert poster for Sept. 14-16, 18-20, 22-23, 1990 concerts that took place at New York City's Madison Square Garden. Nice stylized art depicts Madison Square Garden w/King Kong standing on roof wearing large tie-dye shirt and holding a red rose in his hand. Art is done w/a fish-eye effect, causing surrounding New York skyline to bend. Text at top of the finalized poster reads "John Scher Presents" as Scher was the producer of this concert series. Art has been professionally and attractively double-matted to 21.25x33.5". Art is unsigned. Frame shows scattered wear but art remains Exc. Ready for display. From the collection of John Scher, legendary concert promoter, producer and manager and comes with COA signed by him. Example of the printed poster is shown for catalog purposes but NOT included.
