Item Description
Original printing mechanicals consisting of five 17.5x24.75" acetate sheets w/bw image of Jimi Hendrix on Crescent illustration board. Used for image in "Guitar World" magazine, design was by Mark Arminski based on a photo by Leni Sinclair, an American photographer and political activist who lives in Detroit, MI. She has photographed rock and jazz musicians since the early 1960s. Sinclair was the co-founder of the White Panther Party along w/her husband John Sinclair and Pun Plamondon. ©1995 and printed by SF&A. Arminski has boldly signed his name in blue felt tip pen at bottom. Scattered aging and lt. wear, VF-Exc. overall. Comes w/limited edition signed and numbered 21.75x29" lithograph featuring the same image from the above described items in full color. Litho was from a numbered set of 150 printed by SF&A, this example has been hand-numbered "146/150" in pencil. Arminski has also signed in pencil as has Sinclair. Litho has some handling wear w/4.5" crease at upper left corner and vertical creasing running along right margin. Fine/VF, would look great if matted and framed. Unique lot. From the Mark Arminski Archives and comes with a COA specially designed, signed and remarqued by him.
