Item Description
10x14.25x1.75" deep box contains parts for 1920s game featuring Walter Johnson, a MLB pitcher who played his entire 21-year baseball career for the Washington Senators (1907–1927), later serving as Senators manager 1929-1932 and for the Cleveland Indians 1933-1935. Johnson led the Washington Nationals/Senators to the World Series in 1924 and was among the first five to be inducted into the Baseball HOF. Box lid features photo image of Johnson against baseball game bkg. Lid has some scattered edge/corner tip wear but corners remain tight. Box bottom has gameboard in tray and illustrated baseball game scorecard at bottom. Fine overall. Comes w/10 5/8" dia. aluminum "Walter Johnson Base Ball Game" tokens w/his image and heavy metal top w/baseball plays. Game comes w/paper scorecard and instruction sheet. Fine/VF. Scarce game.
