Item Description
Lot of three original felt tip pen/ink sketches by Mad Magazine artist and creator of "Groo The Wanderer" Sergio Aragonés that were obtained in-person at comic book conventions in the 1970s. Sketches are on onionskin and regular paper measuring between 7.75x10" and 9x12". Onionskin sheet includes self-portrait of Aragonés drawing Mad's Alfred E. Neuman, other sheets include another full body self-portrait and sketch of man laughing at another man who makes face as brick falls towards his head. Aragonés has signed this sketch "Mad-Ly!" and dated it "75." Uneven bottom margin as removed from spiral-bound sketchbook. Sheets have scattered handling/margin wear. VG-VF. Art areas remain Exc. Onionskin sheet has moderate handling wear and two dark age spots (not affecting art). VG/Fine.
